Job Summary

Milestone IT is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of medical equipment in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment, delegating tasks to technicians as needed to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to nursing staff and doctors on medical equipment, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to use the devices effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular testing and calibration of equipment to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to acquire new medical equipment, conducting initial tests and evaluations to ensure it meets our needs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of medical equipment into our healthcare facilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, using initiative and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and ensure patient care is not compromised.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Experience: Must have commercial experience working as a Biomedical Engineer.
  • Hospital Experience: Having experience working in a hospital setting would be advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
  • Professional Presentation: Professionally presented, with a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
