We are seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our team of engineers in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. This is a full-time role that combines technical expertise with business development and client engagement.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional, driving project success, expanding client relationships, and assisting with business development opportunities across building projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading client-facing project delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes and strong stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Assisting with business development initiatives to identify and pursue new project opportunities and nurture long-term client partnerships.
  • Managing internal design teams and overseeing engineering assessments on complex, multi-client projects.
  • Representing the company in industry forums, client presentations, and strategic meetings to enhance market presence.
  • Delivering technically sound and innovative Mechanical designs, reports, and specifications across sectors including health, defence, high-rise, industrial, and education.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a design consultancy environment, with a strong track record of client engagement and project leadership.
  • Proven experience in Mechanical Building Services, including Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design experience on building projects.
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of delivery.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building client relationships and growing business pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
