Stormwater Engineer - Leadership Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled Stormwater Engineer to take on a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sydney. You will be responsible for delivering innovative stormwater management solutions across urban development, infrastructure, and local government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of stormwater drainage systems, WSUD, and OSD projects.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
  • Liaise with clients, councils, and regulatory authorities to ensure design compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, modelling outputs, and detailed design documentation.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and fee estimation.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in stormwater and drainage engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in stormwater software (e.g., DRAINS, MUSIC, HECRAS, TUFLOW, Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards, WSUD principles, and OSD guidelines.
  • Demonstrated project management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • CPEng or working towards chartered status is highly desirable.
