The role of Disability Support Worker involves providing quality services and safeguards to participants with an emphasis on skill and capacity building to encourage independence and confidence for meaningful and active inclusion in society.

A day in the life as a support worker may see you supporting participants with building on individual strengths and enabling them to reach their goals, 24-hour complex supports, supported independent living, community access and transport, and domestic and personal care.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be passionate, reliable, and experienced in providing quality care services, implementing behavioural strategy supports and building rapport with participants. You'll also require:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • A Covid19 Digital Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation Statement
  • A Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • A Valid Driver's Licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle (desirable)
