Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs. You will be working in our newly established SIL accommodation, assisting with daily living skills and offering emotional support and encouragement.

  • You will assist clients with personal care, medication management, community access, meal preparation, social activities, domestic tasks, and mealtime support.
  • Our ideal candidate has experience working with elderly clients recovering from strokes and is passionate about helping clients reintegrate into their communities.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:3 assistance with daily living skills, supporting individuals in our SIL accommodation.
  • Assist with rehabilitation exercises, meal assistance, and providing emotional support and encouragement.

What We Are Looking For?

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in disability, community services, or a related field.
  • Experience working with elderly clients recovering from strokes.
  • Certificate III or higher in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related qualification.
  • Availability to work 20+ hours per week, including flexibility to work on a rotating roster with sleepover shifts.

Required Qualifications and Certificates:

  • Valid Victorian Driver's License
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Medication Administration certificate
  • Victorian Working with Children's Check
  • National Police Check (obtained within last 6 months)
