Electrical Maintenance Technician

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work with specialized equipment essential to road construction operations.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing bitumen tankers, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards. If you have a strong mechanical background and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of tank systems, including burners, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components.
  • Diagnostics of mechanical faults and performance of preventative maintenance on tank systems.
  • Maintaining the integrity of heating systems that keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading.
  • Carrying out welding and fabrication repairs, monitoring and calibrating temperature and pressure controls.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant safety, environmental, and transport compliance standards.
About You
  • Mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge.
  • Experience with burner systems and pipework.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling (especially hot bitumen).
  • Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
