Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled electrical maintenance technician to fill this challenging role. This position involves working with specialized equipment essential to road construction operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing bitumen tankers, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently in line with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair bitumen tankers, including burners, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components.
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical faults, and perform preventative maintenance on tank systems.
  • Ensure the integrity of heating systems that keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication repairs, monitor and calibrate temperature and pressure controls, and ensure all work is completed in line with relevant safety, environmental, and transport compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge.
  • Experience with burner systems and pipework.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling (especially hot bitumen).
  • Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
