Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operational activity, ensuring the efficient allocation of freight, labour, and equipment to maximise fleet utilisation and efficiency, while exceeding customer expectations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement continuous improvement across all sections of your responsibility.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the fleet in accordance with specific KPI's.
  • Liaise between the office and floor staff to ensure correct loading and allocation of freight.
  • Responsible for ensuring that drivers complete and submit all required paperwork correctly.
  • Manage retrieval of Work Diary Pages from drivers.
  • Liaise with Driver Trainers regarding any additional training needs for drivers.
  • Manage and liaise with Operations Manager the site work roster at least 7-14 days in advance for all PUD and Linehaul Drivers.

About the Role:

This role involves leading a team responsible for managing daily operations, including freight allocation, driver management, and equipment utilisation. You will be working closely with other teams, such as depot admin, maintenance, and NTO ops teams, to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with safe operating procedures and chain of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of fatigue and mass regulations.
