Mental Health Support Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team on the North Shore, Sydney. As a mental health support worker, you will provide flexible support to clients in their homes and communities, promoting independence and community access.

The successful candidate will have experience delivering high level care in a community setting, with a focus on supporting individuals with complex needs. You will work closely with allied health professionals to develop and implement behavior plans that promote positive outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients to build new connections in their community
  • Increasing community access and support
  • Implementing behavior plans and strategies provided by allied health professionals
  • Supporting clients to maintain independence at home and in the community

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience delivering high level care in a community setting
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including those with behaviors of concern
  • Valid Australian drivers' license and own car
  • NDIS Working Screening Check, Working with Children's Check, First Aid and CPR certification
