National Health and Safety Manager

Our goal is to create a world where pets and their families thrive, surrounded by health, happiness and quality time together. To achieve this vision, we need a skilled National Health and Safety Manager who can oversee our evolving fulfilment network.

This role will collaborate closely with our dedicated Supply Chain Management team across multiple warehouse locations. As our National Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and strategies that support our 24/7 operation to be safe, efficient and aligned with industry best practices.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing WHS Strategy: Work with the Supply Chain leadership team to set annual health and safety strategic objectives and targets that inspire the team to create a secure, productive work environment.
  2. Operationalising WHS Practices: Recommend and implement organisational initiatives that strengthen our safety culture and empower the team.
  3. Safety Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular safety audits and perform detailed risk assessments on new processes, equipment or machinery.
  4. Incident Investigations: Coach the Supply Chain team to conduct high-level incident investigations, including the development of corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  5. Contractor Management: Lead contractor management processes, including induction, record-keeping and compliance by liaising with partners and internal stakeholders.
  6. Safety Performance Metrics: Provide timely, accurate and quality-assured safety performance metrics to the business, including incident report statistics, LTI reports, corrective actions and in-depth trend analysis.
