Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluating and implementing new procurement strategies and processes
  • Providing specialist input and promoting our Procurement Strategy
  • Managing all facets of tender processes, from evaluation to implementation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive business results
  • Developing and maintaining reporting and performance indicators
  • Designing and delivering training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Ensuring data accuracy and records management
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as procurement, business, accounting, economics, or contract management
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably in local government
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, including market analysis, tendering, and evaluation
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of probity, risk management, and relevant legislation
  • Expertise in contract and commercial law, and general conditions of contract
  • Ability to undertake the procurement process and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Current driver's licence
