We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ENT Registrar to join our team. As an ENT Registrar, you will be responsible for providing efficient and clinical care inENT and Head and Neck surgery for adult and paediatric patients.
The ideal candidate will have current Medical Practitioner AHPRA Registration (General Registration), MBBS and eligibility for AHPRA Registration. They should also possess experience in a similar role within the public or private health sector.
In this role, you will work closely with Accredited Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and nursing staff to provide medical and surgical support to patients. Your responsibilities will include provision of surgical assistant skills in the operating theatre, reviewing patients in wards, Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, and participating in ENT Department meetings and clinical teaching opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to identify deteriorating patients and provide immediate resuscitation. You should also be able to demonstrate flexibility and organisational skills, and have excellent technical skills, including central venous access, arterial lines and endotracheal intubation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing surgical assistant skills in the operating theatre to support VMOs in treating adult and paediatric patients
- Reviewing patients in wards, Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as required by and under the supervision of VMOs
- Reviewing inpatients pre and post-operatively at the request of VMOs
- Participating in ENT Department meetings and clinical teaching opportunities
Requirements:
- Current Medical Practitioner AHPRA Registration (General Registration)
- MBBS and eligibility for AHPRA Registration
- Experience in a similar role within the public or private health sector
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and training requirements for junior doctors
- Excellent computer applications knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Excel and the Internet
- Ability to liaise and develop positive working relationships with relevant authorities and VMOs/Staff Specialists
- PGY3 or more
- Current Advanced Life Support certification
- Ability to identify deteriorating patients and provide immediate resuscitation
- Team player with excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and organisational skills
- Excellent technical skills, including central venous access, arterial lines and endotracheal intubation
