Job Title: Zone Team Leader

The City of Brimbank is a culturally diverse and rapidly developing region located in the western suburbs of Melbourne, offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled individual to join our Tree Maintenance team as a Team Leader.

This key leadership role involves coordinating day-to-day operations and supervising a small team of staff delivering reactive tree maintenance services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a positive team culture through effective leadership skills, strong customer service focus, and streamlined operational management ability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day operations and supervising a team of staff delivering reactive tree maintenance services
  • Developing and implementing effective team management strategies to ensure efficient and safe working practices
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Council policies

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in arboriculture and experience in tree maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver key responsibilities and duties
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and improve maintenance programs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and manage staff

Desirable qualities include knowledge of safe work practices and relevant legislation in an arboricultural setting, physical fitness, and Cert 3 in Arboriculture or equivalent.
