Job Title: Technical Support Specialist At our studio, we are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical assistance to creative professionals in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide hands-on technical support to VFX artists and other creative professionals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal productivity.
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of software, workstations, and peripherals used in the VFX pipeline.
  • Ensure all software applications utilized in the VFX workflow are up-to-date and properly licensed.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain a robust and secure network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly documentation for common technical issues and solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for VFX artists and other staff members to promote best practices and enhance technical proficiency.
  • Support asset management systems to organize and track various creative assets used in production.
  • Regularly perform hardware checks and maintenance to identify and address potential issues proactively.
 Requirements: 
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Equivalent work experience and relevant certifications will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of VFX software and tools, such as Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Adobe Creative Suite, and compositing software (Nuke, After Effects), will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, virtualization, remote access systems, basic networking and server administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a proactive and positive attitude.
