Job Title: Senior Rehabilitation Expert
Are you a highly skilled and experienced rehabilitation professional seeking a challenging role that makes a real difference in people's lives? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of ex-Defence Force Personnel who have experienced injury, illness, or disability. Your clinical expertise and guidance will be instrumental in supporting veteran clients to regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized rehabilitation plans that support a holistic approach to recovery
  • Utilize lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
  • Apply problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors
  • Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations/solutions to drive desired outcomes
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members who require development in DVA registration

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications and full registration in one of the following disciplines: EP, OT, Rehab Counsellor, Psych, Physio
  • Prior experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not essential
  • A current Australian driver's licence is required for this role
  • Professional integrity, innovation, and a results-driven approach to helping clients elevate their wellbeing are essential
  • A willingness to engage with and enhance a positive office culture is also necessary
