About the Role

The Garvan Research Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supporter Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in driving best-in-practice customer service, building loyalty, and increasing lifetime value through interactions with existing and potential Garvan supporters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall performance of the Supporter Services Office and deliver a wide range of services to existing and potential Garvan supporters, as well as internal clients.
  • Assist in daily mail sorting, donation batching, and accurate data entry of all types of donations into the Raiser's Edge database.
  • Regularly receipt donations, including Institute gifts, and efficiently track processed donations for reporting purposes.
  • Perform daily banking reconciliation and maintain database integrity through proactive updating of donor details and process checks.
  • Ensure best practice standards are established and delivered by providing exemplary donor care in all channels of communication.
  • Assist in managing the Foundation inbox, making outbound calls, and covering Concierge duties as needed.
  • Actively recommend donor care strategies to increase donor retention and suggest process improvements to enhance service levels and processing efficiencies.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector or call centre setting
  • A focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Database and data entry experience, including running reports and queries
  • An understanding of Australian Privacy Principles and legal requirements for capturing, storing, and using personal information
  • Flair for analyzing and improving processes and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
