Agricultural Loan Specialist

Compeer Financial is seeking a collaborative and innovative professional to manage and grow the loan and lease portfolio through counseling and servicing existing clients while pursuing new loan sales development opportunities with prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with clients to discuss their financial needs and determine which products Compeer offers will meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by bringing valued knowledge and experience to the client to help them manage their agricultural operations more effectively and efficiently.
- Process new loan applications, renewal of existing operations for commercial and real estate loans, and handle loan servicing requests.
- Seek new loan business by developing relationships with existing clients, searching for new clients, and meeting with prospective clients to gain their business.
- Monitor farm sales and contact potential buyers.
- Attend agricultural meetings, farm open houses/tours, trade shows, extension meetings, and other networking events to stay current on agriculture and financial market changes.
- Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum experience required is based on the size, scope, and complexity of the position, with experience in agribusiness/farming industry or similar experience in agriculture credit or a closely related field.
- Current state insurance license to sell crop insurance.
- Advanced knowledge of value-added business and farming concepts, loan products and services, credit operations, farm production methods, farm products, and farm business management/finance.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, client service, and team skills, as well as problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business, and to network with clients, prospects, and key influencers.
- Knowledge of accounting principles with a strong understanding of financial reports, ratios, and benchmarks.
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work for any employer in the US.
