This is a Software Reliability Engineer position at SafetyCulture, a leading company in AU, offering a chance to join a rapidly growing team and contribute to designing resilient systems.

**About the Role**: As a Software Engineer in the Site Reliability Engineering team at SafetyCulture, you will play a key role in shaping the culture of designing for and expecting failure in production systems. You will help foster a culture where learning and knowledge-sharing are valued, and identify root causes in complex scenarios.

**Your Impact**: As one of a core team of experienced SREs, you will have a significant impact on the business's ability to scale to millions of users. You will be responsible for defining processes that development teams follow, driving our observability culture, and improving metrics such as MTTR and MTBF.

**What You'll Do**: - Engage with teams across Engineering on reliability and performance issues - Build out core capabilities such as load testing, observability improvements, and advanced deployment mechanisms - Write and maintain Go modules providing fundamental capabilities to our applications (e.g., observability instrumentation) - Evolve Incident Management processes and engage in post-incident reviews, driving our learning culture - Educate and drive the SRE mandate across the organisation

**What We're Looking For**: - Fluency in at least one modern programming language - Solid education in SRE concepts like SLOs - Experience with distributed systems and Unix/Linux systems internals or networking - Good understanding of monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability instrumentation - Excellent human-handling-skills with an ability to build and maintain healthy cross-team relationships
