Team Leader Parks Job Description

We are seeking a Team Leader to join the Parks and Gardens Division in Rydalmere. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for organizing runs, prioritizing workloads, and serving as the primary point of contact between employees and management.

The successful candidate will have experience operating small plant equipment, including ride-on mowers, edgers, and whipper-snippers. Chemical accreditation and a certificate in horticulture are preferred but not essential. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service are essential for this role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks and activities
  • Maintain effective communication with employees and management
  • Assist with general maintenance of Council parks, gardens, sports fields, and reserves
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • MR Truck Licence
  • C Class Licence
  • Previous experience operating small plant equipment
  • WHS card
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chemical Accreditation
  • Certificate in Horticulture
  • Full Driver Licence
  • White Card
  • Australia Work Authorisation

Working Conditions:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Morning shift
  • Overtime available

Remuneration:

$35.00 - $36.00 per hour
