Are you passionate about data center operations and looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Center Operations Trainee to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd.

About the Role

This is a 6-month fixed-term position with the possibility of becoming a full-time role. As a Data Center Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure all work performed meets established practices and procedures. You will also maintain performance benchmarks, analyze data, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.

You will generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed, learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations, and assist with the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints. Additionally, you will be involved in routine maintenance and emergency services on various critical systems, such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and building monitoring systems.

This position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift rack equipment and may involve working in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements
  • High school (HSC) or equivalent diploma
  • Basic awareness of mechanical and/or electrical systems

We offer a competitive salary of AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
