As a Commercial Manager at Thales, you will play a critical role in driving commercial success and delivering optimal outcomes for our Protected Vehicles (PRV) business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead commercial management outcomes for PRV, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead a team of contract managers to deliver key contracts and projects, driving successful project completion and delivery.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Identify commercial and contract risks, advising on mitigation strategies to ensure optimal commercial and financial outcomes.
- Provide legal and commercial leadership on high-risk, high-value contracts and projects, advising senior stakeholders.
- Provide senior advice on commercial and contractual topics, including intellectual property management and protection of rights, claims management, and bid submissions.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and Thales's internal policies.
- Support the continuous improvement of legal, regulatory compliance, and contractual management processes within PRV.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
- 8-12 years of experience in commercial management or a mix of legal experience/practice and commercial experience.
- Strong commercial knowledge with a proven track record in a Bid/Capture environment and delivering project outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent understanding and skill in contract law, contract drafting, and dispute management.
- Experience with government contracting (e.g., ASDEFCON) is desirable.
- Defence industry experience is a plus but not essential.
