Job Title:

Parts Advisor, Oakleigh


Overview:

The company is seeking a skilled Parts Advisor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing parts inventory, responding to customer inquiries, and performing other related duties.


Responsibilities:
  • Manage parts inventory, including receiving stock, picking, shipping, and transacting materials
  • Respond to customer phone calls, emails, and drive-ins in a timely and professional manner
  • Accurately record parts transactions and data into the Dealer Management System
  • Conduct transactions with systems, walk customers through orders, and provide summaries
  • Escalate issues that need to be addressed to correct any inbound packaging problems from internal and external suppliers
  • Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials
  • Communicate estimated parts ship and arrival times, including regular updates
  • Follow up with customers on parts orders to ensure complete satisfaction

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Understanding of basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
  • Experience in automotive equipment and servicing methods
  • Proficiency in DMS Systems, SAP, MS Office Suite
  • 1-3 years' experience in the automotive industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
