Job Title: Fiscal Strategist
Key Responsibilities:

The role of a Fiscal Strategist entails managing the financial performance of a team, supporting other business leaders with financial and business analysis, strategic projects, and report presentations. Key tasks include developing rolling budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow models; reporting on variances between actual and budgeted financial results; identifying areas for improvement to increase profits; reviewing budget requests; driving continuous improvement within financial processes and systems; ensuring compliance with legal regulations; and providing commercial advice.

  • Develop comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and reports to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in financial services.
  • CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in group finance roles within large, complex businesses.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Netsuite/PeopleSoft and Workday Adaptive is highly regarded.
  • Experience or interest in Power BI and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
