
Economic Strategist

Economists in the Macroeconomy Division are required to contribute to high-quality analysis, research and modelling to support government decision making and policy development. Your core role will include building and maintaining macroeconomic and fiscal models, data analysis and reporting, and conducting research into areas of interest pertaining to the economy, especially in relation to key priority areas for Government.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role you need:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in economics.
- Ability to apply economic policy across diverse reform issues effectively.
- Capacity to communicate complex ideas clearly in various formats.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve problems with evidence.
- Understanding of financial impacts and budget considerations.
