Job Description:

The Cyber Security Analyst, Strategy role is a new position within the Chief Operating Officer Group's Information Technology (IT) Division. The purpose of this division is to connect people and technology, empowering the department to excel.

The division provides digital collaboration and communications tools to connect a geographically dispersed workforce and optimize hybrid working arrangements. We manage industry and public-facing digital systems, deliver desktop services to over 2,200 staff, support over 30 office locations across Australia, and oversee the department's cyber security capability.

This new role is based in the Cyber Security Team within the Strategy, Architecture & Cyber Security Branch.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues across the division, IT executives, staff in the department, and industry partners.
  • Build and manage a team in a dynamic environment and achieve quality outcomes aligned to stakeholder and organisational needs.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to build consensus and influence decision-making among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Think strategically, evaluating complex information from various sources to make connections and sound conclusions.
  • Inspire innovation through identifying opportunities for change and improvement across ways the division and our services.
Requirements:

Minimum requirements for this role include:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in technical cyber security roles and/or relevant certifications in a cyber security field.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide timely and concise advice to inform and support executive decision-making.
  • Ability to establish and maintain key strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
