About the Role

This is an ideal position for a proactive individual who prioritizes safety and employs a solutions-based approach to maintenance.

The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively as a key member of our team to ensure effective and efficient management of planned and unplanned repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, reliable, and repeatable routine preventative and reactive maintenance activities supporting the production team.
  • Advocate and promote best practice safe work practices throughout your work performance and delivery.
  • Proactively participate in maintenance-related activities following our internal asset management and maintenance planning system.
  • Identify, maintain, and record the use of critical machine and process-related parts.
  • Assist in developing new and improved preventative maintenance programs and strategies.
  • Communicate with business leaders, production operators, and external resources to monitor equipment and plant performance.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across business units and with external contractors.
  • Work towards achieving pre-determined and measurable KPIs relative to both self and department.
  • Perform small to medium fabrication/construction works supporting ongoing site development.
  • Participate in a rotating shift and call-out roster.
Requirements:
  • A trade certification in a mechanical fitting or related trade, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to safety and environmental practices within the industry.
  • A factory/production background with high-level troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Experience with automation, electrical, and instrumentation-based control systems (desirable).
  • Experience with pumping, conveyance, pneumatic, weigh scale, and steam and gas appliances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high degree of independence, maturity, and initiative.
  • Sound decision-making, prioritization of works, and time management skills.
  • Experience in leading small teams to meet departmental objectives.
Desirable Trade Qualifications:
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • An Industrial White Card.
  • Confined Space.
  • High Risk Works certification.
  • Welding experience with MIG/TIG/Stick technologies.
  • A Dogging Ticket.
  • A Fork Lift/EWP Licence.
  • A Restricted Electrical Licence (disconnect/reconnect).
  • Roller Bearing and condition monitoring.
