We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical & Liability Claims Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing clinical and general liability claims across our hospital network.
As the Clinical & Liability Claims Manager, you will work closely with legal and hospital teams to drive better outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance our claims management systems. Your expertise in litigation and civil procedure will be essential in providing medico-legal advice and support to hospital staff.
Responsibilities:- Manage clinical and liability claims in collaboration with legal and hospital teams.
- Provide medico-legal advice and support to hospital staff.
- Maintain claims registers and generate reports for executive and audit purposes.
- Assist in implementing software solutions for tracking legal spend.
- Identify trends and contribute to risk management training.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in claims management (insurer, self-insured, or legal practice).
- Tertiary qualification in law, health, or business.
- Strong understanding of litigation and civil procedure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
- Experience with claims and incident management systems is a plus.
- Eligibility to hold a legal practicing certificate.
- Knowledge of health law and personal injury claims.
