
Student Wellbeing and Engagement Specialist

The Student Wellbeing and Engagement Specialist plays a vital part in promoting student wellbeing, identity, and sense of connectedness to the educational community.
- Identify students facing difficulties with attendance, behaviour, and engagement, and develop interventions and strategies.
- Support students with specific social, emotional, and learning needs to engage with the educational environment.
- Liaise with a broad range of service providers and staff while maintaining confidentiality with student medical and wellbeing history.
This role requires effective liaison with the general school community, Departmental staff, and other government agencies and community service providers. There will be close interaction with a range of staff and visitors.
Student SupportKeep relevant, professional, and up-to-date case notes on identified students to monitor progress and develop robust support plans.
Collaborate with key stakeholders both within and beyond the school community to support students to achieve their personal and academic potential.
Communicate with staff regarding student wellbeing, health, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
Analyse data regarding wellbeing issues and report findings to senior management.
Develop plans for students with consideration to wellbeing and safety strategies.
Wellbeing Programs & InterventionImplement and facilitate targeted group intervention programs to support students at risk such as social skills, resilience, friendship, and anxiety.
Discuss referrals and support with senior management.
Support the Disability Inclusion Program.
