Our team is seeking an experienced Policy Specialist to coordinate policy advice and briefing products for high-level government officials. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on government deliberations and outcomes.

The Role

  • Policy Advice and Briefing: Develop strategic policy briefs, talking points, and coordination materials to inform government decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze government policies and agendas to identify opportunities for engagement and influence.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, industry organizations, and businesses to advance policy objectives.
  • Support the development of engagement plans, organize meetings, and provide high-quality secretariat support to connect with key stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in policy development, ideally within government or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy concepts into actionable advice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • An existing network of government contacts and relationships with industry organizations.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including representing government interests in inter-agency and external engagements.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft high-quality briefs, talking points, and meeting notes.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in working in a dynamic and often contentious environment.
