Job Opportunity

The role of a Market Enforcement Investigator at ASIC is to contribute to the delivery of our strategic priorities and purpose. This position involves supporting and conducting investigations and associated litigation leading to enforcement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and participate in the investigation of suspected misconduct in areas regulated by ASIC.
  • Perform investigative tasks, including analyzing large electronic data sets, drafting and serving compulsory notices, collecting and reviewing documents.
  • Interview and gather information from various witnesses.
  • Assist with commencing and conducting civil litigation in the Federal Court.
  • Compile briefs of evidence for the CDPP and assist with criminal prosecutions.
About You:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is required.
  • You must possess investigative and analytical skills with experience planning and managing complex investigations and projects.
  • Ability to analyze and interrogate large complex data and evidence is necessary.
  • Experience presenting complex information to different audiences through strong business writing and verbal communication skills is required.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and professional networks is an essential skill.
  • Demonstrated capacity to use digital applications for investigative purposes is necessary.
