We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Australian Supply Research Vessel (ASRV) Project Electrical Engineer. This is a permanent role based in Hobart, Tasmania, and requires marine experience.
Key Responsibilities- Implement shore-based operations and maintenance support for the RSV Nuyina crew and Australian Antarctic Division as the customer.
- Work closely with the ASRV Technical Superintendent and Engineering Manager to maintain and enhance vessel operations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, develop processes, and occasionally travel to support Serco Defence locations.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of marine experience and/or an Electrical Technical Officer STCW Regulation III/6 that holds an Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Current Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
- Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Systems Engineering.
- Physically resilient, capable of working in confined spaces and at heights.
