Procurement Team Lead Job Description

Job Overview:

About the Role:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Procurement Manager - Operations & Maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example, demonstrating exceptional safety practices, behavior, commitment, and attitude.
  • Developing and implementing functional team KPIs, driving continuous improvement and process re-engineering.
  • Mentoring, guiding, and supporting the procurement team in their daily activities and professional development.
  • Verifying and validating purchase orders, ensuring compliance with business delegation of authority matrices.
  • Leading supplier order management, including expediting/rescheduling, tracking DIFOT performance, and conducting supplier audits.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in re-engineering processes and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Excellent skills in verifying and validating purchase orders, as well as supplier management.
