Green Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Green Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

This full-time position is based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Kensington, where you will use your expertise with all aspects of garden maintenance and plant knowledge to ensure high standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of horticulture requirements.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance team members' horticultural skills and safety practices.
  • Undertake hands-on work including pruning and shaping of shrubs and hedges and plant and pest identification.
  • Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition and implement corrective actions.
About Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Driver's licence and White Card.
  • Chem Cert desired but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows and manage time.
