Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Communication Specialist to join our Allied Health team.

The successful candidate will provide clinical speech pathology services using evidence-based clinical practice skills. This role is part of our multidisciplinary team and involves assessing patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individual treatment and therapy programs (with long- and short-term goals)
  • Document assessments and therapy outcomes for referring parties and other involved in patient management
  • Prioritise caseloads by participating in relevant clinical review meetings and case conferences as necessary
  • Support and liaise with patients, carers, colleagues, medical staff, nursing staff, allied health professionals, support staff and external agencies for coordinated multidisciplinary care
  • Educate patients/carers on assessment, treatment and post-discharge management, organise discharge summaries/referrals as appropriate

This role is ideal for a graduate or experienced Speech Pathologist looking for a challenging opportunity.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Full membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • A valid Australian driver's license
  • NDIS Screening Clearance
  • First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Working with Children clearance
