We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Credit Specialist to join our Loan Origination Services (LOS) team at Auswide Bank Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of loan applications and working closely with our Credit team to provide support to analysts.

  • Process loan applications from simple to complex, ensuring adherence to the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
  • Manage workflow and monitor processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of loan applications.
  • Update and maintain client records, validate and upload supporting documents as required.
  • Complete various checks, verifications, and applications, including income, employment verification, credit checks, and Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) applications.
  • Handle credit structuring and scenario queries from our Broker and Sales channels.
  • Coach and support LOS staff on credit structuring and scenario inquiries.
  • Assist Team Leaders with training staff in the end-to-end process for loan processing and file quality reviews.
  • Assist the broader LOS team with file quality, hindsight results, and credit rework.
  • Handle phone calls from brokers and broker relationship managers regarding updates and information.
  • Rework applications with Credit that require new structuring and liaise with Brokers to meet desired outcomes.

  • Sound understanding of the banking/mortgage industry.
  • High level of service and attention to detail, including recording inbound and outbound calls and tracking file progress.
  • Strong financial analysis and understanding of income streams and security arrangements.
  • Proven experience in processing complex mortgage lending and business banking submissions.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of the Bank's core banking systems and credit policy procedures.
