Operational Engineering Specialist

About the Role

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic operational environment and contribute to a diverse workplace. The position will involve coordinating and managing technical information for water, wastewater and drainage operational assets to support regional field services and operations engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and update asset information from various sources for operational use
  • Engage regularly with operational stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain operational asset analysis tools that meet regional needs
  • Develop and maintain schematics for regional water, wastewater and drainage networks
  • Develop, maintain and manage operations engineering procedures, forms, work instructions and key asset information
  • Proactively engage with technical experts and business team leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and activities
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or extensive experience in operations and maintenance practices involving data reporting and analysis
  • Sound computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft suite, and ability to learn new systems easily
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Demonstrated high conceptual and analytical skills with focus on details and quality
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible attitude with ability to operate in changing environments
  • Australian 'C' class drivers license
