Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Court Services Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Court and Tribunal Services Team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality services to clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of court procedures, processes, and forms, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide information and advice to clients regarding court services, procedures, and processes, as well as external options to assist them in resolving their enquiries and issues.
  • Case Progression: Progress cases by providing administrative services in accordance with court processes, including document lodgement, enquiries management, and receiving and reconciling court fees and charges.
  • Complex Case Management: Assist in the management of complex cases through the case management system, identifying issues and contributing to the resolution of problems.
  • Scheduling and Prioritization: Schedule and prioritise matters for hearing and other interventions to achieve the earliest possible resolution.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including judges, registrars, legal practitioners, community organisations, and other service providers to assist in the resolution of cases.
  • Training and Development: Coach employees, identify training needs, and provide quality assurance to ensure staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
