Quarry Manager Job Description">

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead and manage quarry operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.

  • This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in quarry or mining operations in a supervisory or management role and possess a Certificate IV in Surface Extractions. They will also be working towards a Tier 2 practicing certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Quarry Operations

The successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day activities of the quarry operation, ensuring that all processes are carried out safely and efficiently. This includes managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving operational performance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and developing a team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing material extraction, processing, and quality control to meet market demands.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, contractors, and internal teams.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in quarry or mining operations in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of OHS legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize production costs.
  • Certificate IV in Surface Extractions and a Tier 2 practicing certificate or willingness to obtain one.
