Chef Position at Griffith Leagues Club Limited

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Griffith Leagues Club Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen staff and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise kitchen staff during pre-cooking preparations.
  • Ensure the quality of dishes at all stages of food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare specialized food items from our café menu.
  • Plan menus and recipes to meet the nutritional needs of our customers.
  • Estimate food and labor costs and order food supplies.
  • Plan staff rosters and discuss food preparation issues with the Manager and other kitchen staff.
  • Train junior staff and manage the organization of all stock and stock control for the venue.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
  • Uphold food safety and hygiene standards and follow Occupational Health and Safety and Food Hygiene procedures.

What We Offer:

In return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package of $74,000 (plus super) and ongoing training opportunities to develop your skills.

Requirements:

We are looking for applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Asian/commercial cookery or Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of practical experience working as a Chef. You must be available to work full-time, 38 hours a week, and be willing to work odd hours, including weekends and public holidays.
