About the Role

The National Video Team at News Corp Australia is seeking a skilled Video Producer to join our team. This position plays a vital part in our strategy to grow our video presence on and off the platform. In a creative, hands-on role, you'll be pitching video ideas daily for multiple platforms, and executing and editing them while collaborating with the wider newsroom. This role also has a big podcast video focus.

About Our Podcasts

We publish a range of podcasts, including The Matty Johns Podcast, Browny's Podcast, Healthy-ish, Something to Talk About, The Front, Hedley Thomas' series from The Australian, The Money Puzzle, From the Newsroom, I Catch Killers, Life & Crimes, and many more.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3 years of experience editing and promoting video content
  • Strong video editing skills for full-length video (YouTube) and shorter social content clips
  • Ability to create assets for social to promote our podcasts and grow the audience
  • Confidence in filming, sourcing, and producing video packages that resonate with News Corp audiences
  • Strong understanding of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Good understanding of YouTube CMS to further execute the strategy to grow podcast video presence on YouTube
  • Ability to work closely with the team to identify and share best practice news video storytelling skills
  • Strong communication and time management skills
