Position Overview

The National Video Team is on the lookout for an innovative Video Producer to enhance our video strategy across various platforms. This role is essential in amplifying News Corp's video outreach both online and offline. As a creative professional, you will be responsible for generating daily video concepts for multiple channels, executing and editing these projects while collaborating with the broader newsroom.

This position has a significant emphasis on video production for podcasts.

About NewsCast

NewsCast produces a variety of podcasts, including popular titles such as The Matty Johns Podcast, Browny's Podcast, Healthy-ish, Something to Talk About, The Front, and Hedley Thomas' series from The Australian, among others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in video content editing and promotion.
  • Proficient in video editing for both long-form content (YouTube) and short social media clips.
  • Develop promotional assets for social media to enhance podcast visibility and audience engagement.
  • Skilled in filming, sourcing, and producing compelling video packages that resonate with our audience.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Understanding of YouTube CMS to effectively grow our podcast video presence.
  • Collaborate with the team to share best practices in news video storytelling.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure video production meets expectations.
  • Analyze data to track and measure the effectiveness of video content.
  • Exhibit strong communication and time management skills.
