Assistant Underwriter, Financial Lines Specialist
AXA XL is seeking an experienced Assistant Underwriter to join our Financial Lines team. As a key member of our team, you will support our Underwriters in all tasks related to underwriting and administration support, including managing online portal referrals.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in the insurance sector, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles and practices. You will be responsible for assisting Underwriters with renewal portfolios, conducting research, and pre-underwriting. Additionally, you will act as a first point of contact for the Financial Lines team, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Underwriters with renewal portfolios, including pre-renewal notices and conducting research.
- Managing online portal referrals and providing administrative support to the Underwriting team.
- Providing exceptional customer service and acting as a first point of contact for the Financial Lines team.
- Preparing monthly reports and assisting with credit control as needed.
- Developing a solid network with internal stakeholders, including claims, actuary, and middle office teams.
- Maintaining online quoting portal and responding to new enquiries in line with business guidelines and appetite.
- Adhering to Underwriting guidelines and service standards.
- Promoting a collaborative work culture and ensuring compliance with internal corporate regulations and standards.
