Senior Sports Development Manager

**Role Summary:**

This is a key leadership role that drives the ongoing management and financial sustainability of our tennis centre. The successful candidate will ensure that our operations align with our mission and vision, promoting a welcoming, safe, inclusive, innovative, community-focused, and socially connected centre.

The Senior Sports Development Manager will promote the benefits of participation in sport for our members, schools, and other community groups. Success in this role means that our centre remains financially secure and is viewed as a hub for regional, state, and national level sports players.

We are looking for someone who can develop, present, and implement business plans to ensure financial security, manage day-to-day activities, plan and implement programs, and engage with stakeholders. If you have a passion for sports development, excellent communication skills, and a strong customer service outlook, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, present, and implement business plans to ensure financial security and growth.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the centre, including junior member competitions, tennis Victoria competitions, school holiday programs, fitness programs, and pickleball competitions.
  • Plan and implement programs that meet the needs of our members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with coaches to provide best coaching and environment for players.
  • Engage, communicate, and manage relationships with stakeholders, including club members, committee, staff, and various users of the centre.
  • Maintain a strong community atmosphere and promote all sports with families and individuals in any centre activities.
  • Seek grants and sponsorship opportunities to support the growth and success of our centre.
  • Act as a tournament director for all centre tournaments.
