
Fast-Paced Urgent Care Role

Overview: We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality patient care for injuries or illnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering high-quality patient care for acute injury and illness management and fast-track patient flow.
- Perform various care activities including history assessments, administering medications, wound care, plastering, and patient education.
- Ensure all patient care activities are within scope of practice and comply with policies and procedures.
- Support patient services by greeting and assisting patients, monitoring the appointment book, registering and updating registration details as required.
- Provide guidance relating to inclusion and exclusion criteria over the phone as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked clinical area, completing administrative tasks such as Medicare billing, coding, and scanning documentation into patient files.
- Provide comprehensive documentation in all patient files.
- Participate in workplace health and safety practices, ensuring all incidents and hazards are reported according to policies.
Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Emergency setting, with a focus on acute injury and illness management and fast-track patient flow.
- Direct clinical practice nursing care experience is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Patient-centered approach and strong interpersonal skills.
