About the Role

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rail services as a Casual Locomotive Driver Assistant. Working closely with Train Crew, Operational Staff, Maintenance and Terminal teams, as well as Network Control, you will thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Initial Training

">

Paid classroom and practical training (38 hours per week) is an essential part of your journey. You will assist in various rail operational tasks, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • ">
  • Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical assessment and fitness test.">
  • Current full Class C or higher Driver's Licence (no restrictions).">
  • Valid National Police Clearance (with no court outcomes).">
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).">
  • Basic computer skills.">
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete written assessments.">
