Chief Finance Officer

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial direction of our business. This position involves providing strategic finance support to editorial leaders, ensuring that our newsrooms operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with editorial leaders, providing them with clear financial insights and advice.
- Manage the entire Editorial cost base, with a focus on staff and content-related expenses.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or a CA/CPA qualification.
- Excellent business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate financial concepts for non-finance teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Experience in media/publishing, managing staff costs, and using systems such as D365, TM1, SAP, or Tableau is highly desirable.
