Senior Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for delivering the transition of our data lake/warehouse from one system to another.

This role requires strong project management skills, including managing dependencies, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring the transition meets commercial, technical, and business requirements without disrupting our business-as-usual teams.

You will work closely with various teams, including programme leads, heads of technology and business functions, PMO team members, and supporting functions team members to ensure successful delivery and alignment with our strategic objectives.

About The Job
  • You will engage with other teams to align on approach, dependencies, milestones, risks, and issues impacting the transition.
  • You will validate the business case based on best, worst, and most likely scenarios, as well as continuous validation with the project sponsor.
  • You will operate within our organisation's operating model, delivery framework, and governance framework.
  • You will manage all stage gates in accordance with our organisation's requirements.
  • You will ensure project component delivery/operational/regulatory/reputation risk impacts are maintained within acceptable parameters.
  • You will maintain architectural alignment with our organisation's business and technology requirements.
  • You will ensure supplier vendors are aligned with project goals, organisational project management requirements, and values.
  • You will lead the transition of our data analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • You will coordinate technical and business readiness activities, operational cutover, and readiness.
  • You will ensure post-migration stabilisation, tracking transition performance, and supporting incident resolution during the initial transition.
Key Skills And Qualifications
  • You have proven experience (5+ years) as a project manager or similar delivery leadership role in a large, complex organisation.
  • You have experience delivering cloud data warehousing build and/or transformation projects.
  • You have excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • You are able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • You are familiar with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • You are proficient in presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.
