We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Traffic Safety Officer, ensuring the well-being of our community, particularly children, while promoting road safety.

Manningham Council delivers a diverse range of services to our vibrant community, from parks and galleries to shopping hubs and leisure facilities. Our focus is on creating a liveable and harmonious place for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members. You will be responsible for assisting school children and pedestrians at designated crossings and traffic lights during school terms, applying your knowledge of Australian road rules and safe work procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong judgment, road sense, and experience in traffic safety or working with children. You will also be able to effectively use and operate safety equipment, lift safely, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $30.61 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation (pro rata). This role is perfect for those who value flexibility, as you will be required to work shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or both, at various locations within Manningham.
