Information Systems Technician Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Technician to join our team in supporting the deployment of secure government systems. As an integral part of our agile network development teams, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and deployment of security-accredited ICT systems.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the development, introduction to service, sustainment, and enhancement of mission planning software and hardware.
  • Maintenance and configuration of physical servers, networking hardware, and mission planning laptops.
  • Installing, configuring, testing, and deploying software.
  • Providing support on Defence strategic networks.
  • Assisting with security accreditation activities for Mission Planning Systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Defence ICT environments.
  • Skills in areas such as MS Windows platforms (including imaging, security, and server environments).
  • Administration of client operating systems (Windows 10–11).
  • Software scripting, configuration management, and Office applications.
  • Understanding of Defence ICT security accreditation requirements.
