Are you a seasoned professional looking to take your career to the next level? Do you have a passion for risk management and a keen eye for detail? We're seeking a highly skilled Director to join our team in Oceania, responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating credit risk in our loan portfolio.
About the Role:
As a Director, Credit Risk Manager - Oceania, you will be part of our regional Credit Managed Assets team, working closely with our client relationship teams to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying potential risks and developing solutions to minimize losses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze borrower forecasts, identifying potential credit risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to develop and implement risk mitigation plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and review Early Warnings Indicators (EWI) triggered for Oceania borrowers, working with relationship managers to consider next steps for proactive credit risk mitigation actions.
- Contribute to the development of credit knowledge and training competencies of relationship managers in GCIB.
- Participate in relevant committees within the entity, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and limits.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in banking, advisory, or corporate finance, with a focus on credit risk management and restructuring.
- Undergraduate Business/Commerce/Law degree from a leading university.
- Demonstrable experience in excellent client coverage and leadership.
- Extensive market and industry knowledge, including a strong understanding of the global banking regulatory environment and restructuring, enforcement, and insolvency processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence others and work collaboratively across geographical locations.
